SUMMARY:Blue Ocean Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:Blue Ocean Exhibition is a one-day celebration and a month-long art exhibition that brings together water sports communities\, environmental advocates\, and creative voices through the lens of contemporary art. Set within the spirit of World Ocean Day on June 8th 2025\, the event transforms the museum into a dynamic platform for reflection\, collaboration\, and dialogue for our blue planet.\nAt the heart of the show is a striking photography competition\, surrounded by the work of three artists who share a deep connection to the ocean. One transforms discarded fishing nets into immersive installations that feel like memories caught in time—haunting\, delicate\, and full of meaning. Another captures the essence of water in resin\, with textures that ripple and flow\, expressing the emotional pull between humans and the sea. The third invites families into a playful\, hands-on experience—a colorful\, kid-friendly piece that plants seeds of hope and sparks conversations about our relationship with the ocean.\nComplementing the exhibition is Ocean Talks\, a live talkshow series that brings together key voices from across the archipelago’s ocean-loving communities—from rowing federations\, stand-up paddle and kayaking groups\, women’s paddling circles\, sailing schools\, environmental art collectives\, scuba and free diving association\, to coral reef conservation initiatives and NGOs that empower local community living in coastal areas. These conversations aim to share stories\, experiences\, and collaborative actions that sustain and protect Indonesia’s rich maritime heritage.
