SUMMARY:Workshop: International Marine Environmental Law in Time of the Triple Planetary Crisis
DESCRIPTION:The workshop takes place in the framework of the 10th Summer School on the European Union and the Law of the Sea (EULoS) on 30/08/2024. The workshop and the EULoS Summer School is organized by the University of Genoa and the Institute for the Law of the Sea and International Marine Environmental Law (ISRIM)\, a research institute of the Hugo Grotius gGmbH – non-profit society for the advancement of legal sciences. The workshop will include presentations on (1) International Marine Environmental Law in Time of the Triple Planetary Crisis\, (2) The International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea and its 2024 Advisory Opinion on Climate Change and International Law\, (3) The 2023 IMO Strategy on Reduction of Greenhouse Gas Emissions from Ships\, (4) Strengthening Ocean Efforts to Tackle Climate Change\, Marine Biodiversity Loss and Pollution\, and (5) The European Green Deal — a Package of Policy Initiatives to Combat the Triple Planetary Crisis.

A obra marca o Dia Mundial dos Oceanos\, e o filme será exibido em formato fulldome\, onde a projeção de alta tecnologia é feita de forma imersiva em sua cúpula\, convidando os espectadores a se conectarem profundamente com o oceano. \nCom duração de 25 minutos\, Sounds of the Ocean combina sons de golfinhos e baleias com uma composição musical exclusiva. A produção transporta os participantes para o coração do oceano\, oferecendo um encontro transformador com a vida marinha e o ambiente subaquático. \nAproximadamente 1500 estudantes de escolas públicas que visitarão o Museu no período terão a oportunidade de assistir ao filme gratuitamente. \nOs ingressos custam R$ 20\, com meia-entrada para estudantes\, crianças a partir de 4 anos e idosos acima de 60 anos\, e podem ser adquiridos no site https://museu.pucminas.br/
