SUMMARY:Reconciliation festival
DESCRIPTION:Reconciliation festival is a new Norwegian initiative in Stavanger region whose vision is guided by the United Nations Agenda 2030 and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. It is a unique chamber musical festival which invites artists alongside scientists to demonstrate how art and science together can contribute to build a beautiful world\, and invites the public to share the artistic experience as a reconciliation force in society and a step towards sustainability. \nThe theme for 2024 is the breath of the new world\, drawing inspiration from the warmth and vibrant colors of South American cultures\, while inviting everyone to awaken new depths and reflect on the vision we wish for our future world. \nStavanger’s history is linked to the North Sea and the preservation of the oceans and marine life will be addressed by several arrangements during the festival. \n\nArtistic workshop for kids (free) by artist Fauve Tintigner\, after Camille Stories by Professor Donna Haraway : “In a future around 2100\, science has allowed humans to hybridize\, to be as close as possible to the living beings that need protection. Your mission is to protect a marine animal of your choice. What would you put in place?”\nbeach yoga class with Vanessa Livingston\nbeach cleaning action and conversation with Nadia Aarab from Clean Shores about sustainability in everydaylife\nMulti-disciplinary creation and premiere: ” the thicknesses of the landscapes” where cellist Jakob Koranyi\, violinist Sonoko Miriam Welde and pianist Frederic Vaysse-Knitter join their voices to artist Fauve Tintigner to narrate and promote sustainable journeys in the Nordic world.
