DESCRIPTION:Ocean Week 2025 – “From Pollution to Solution: A Week to Understand It All” \nFrom May 23 to 31\, 2025\, the Mohammed VI Foundation for Environmental Protection will host a new edition of Ocean Week\, under the theme:\n“From Pollution to Solution: A Week to Understand It All.” \nThis national event dedicated to environmental awareness and engagement will bring together children\, youth\, educators\, and partners through an educational and immersive program implemented across Morocco’s 12 regions. \nHighlights of the Week: \nMay 23: Official opening ceremony\, gathering members of the Young Reporters for the Environment (YRE) and the Ocean Ambassadors (AGUYEN) around four key themes:\n• The Ocean: A Source of Life and Services\n• Tackling Marine Pollution\n• Marine Protected Areas and Biodiversity Conservation\n• Blue Innovation and Ocean-Related Careers \nMay 26 to 30: A series of mobile educational workshops will be held across all 12 regions\, targeting young audiences. These interactive workshops will follow a five-step learning journey:\n• The Blue Treasure\n• A Waste’s Journey\n• Hidden Threats\n• Ocean Dwellers\n• Creative Recycling & Community Engagement \nA special focus on May 27 will address runoff\, a major contributor to marine pollution. This topic will be linked to the World Day to Combat Desertification\, highlighting the interconnectedness between terrestrial and marine ecosystems. \nMay 31: The week will conclude with the national festival “Ocean Wise Kids”\, hosted at the Hassan II International Center for Environmental Training.
