SUMMARY:Blue Polo Day: Sport for the Ocean – 2026
DESCRIPTION:It is the first event merging ocean science and networking at Campo Bravo Polo Ranch. It serves as a meeting point where the elegance of polo meets the urgency of marine conservation\, gathering leaders and investors to protect our coasts; In the context of the United Nations World Oceans Day 2026 and answering the global call to “Reimagine” our relationship with the ocean \, the Blue Polo Day merges ocean science and high-level networking in Bogotá\, Colombia. \nAgenda and Key Activities:\nTo close the distance between society and the sea\, the event offers a comprehensive experience that includes: \nStrategic Impact Panels: \nBlue Economy (The Profitable Ocean): A space to discuss models where sustainability and economic growth coexist\, featuring the Ministry of Environment of Colombia\, CAF\, and local communities. \nScience and Sovereignty: Dialogues on governance\, space\, and oceans\, from the satellite to the bottom of the Pacific. \nSport and Culture: A polo match exhibition\, an auditory immersion by SoundLab\, scientific art\, and a rich gastronomic experience with flavors from the Colombian Pacific. \nWellness: Equine therapy and yoga sessions to reconnect with the natural environment. \nDirect Impact and Conservation:\nThe event not only raises awareness but actively supports four locally-led projects with total transparency in the Colombian Pacific: \nBahía Solano (Propagules Seedbed): 40 apprentices guarding the oceanic future\, led by Edgar Molina. \nSouth Pacific (MamaOrbe Center): Critical infrastructure for the olive ridley sea turtle\, led by Orfila Bermúdez. \nJurubirá (Nursery and Classroom): A space for local marine restoration\, led by Luis Murillo. \nLa Barra (Blue Carbon): Technical protocol for carbon capture\, led by Yisela Rentería. \nBlue Polo Day is a space where sustainability is a shared decision\, demonstrating that the Pacific is our guide.

SUMMARY:Reimagining Ocean Action
DESCRIPTION:On World Oceans Day 2026\, the United Nations Environment Programme invites governments\, finance leaders\, innovators\, regional organizations and ocean champions to explore one of the defining challenges of our time: how do we turn ocean ambition into real-world transformation? Join us on: \nDate: 8 June 2026\nTime: 3:00 to 4:00 PM EAT\nLocation: Online\, register\nThe Ocean is at the heart of life on Earth: our food\, our climate\, our economies\, and the well-being of billions of people worldwide\, all depend on Ocean and its health. \nYet pollution\, unsustainable development\, weak cooperation\, and limited financing continue to place growing pressure on marine and coastal ecosystems. These challenges require stronger partnerships\, long-term investment\, and practical source-to-sea solutions that countries can sustain over time. \nIf many efforts are yet to be done\, the world is now responding. \nCountries have made bold commitments. Regional frameworks are in place. Science and financing tools are stronger than ever. It is now time to build on that foundation and tostrengthen regional cooperation to turn ocean commitments into real results. \nThis World Oceans Day webinar brings together policymakers\, global and regional organizations\, financial institutions\, and technical experts to explore practical ways to strengthen ocean protection\, resilience\, and investment through cooperation\, science\, and partnerships. \nKey topics include: \n✅ Strengthening regional ocean governance through the Regional Seas Conventions and Action Plans\n✅ Reducing pollution through the Global Programme of Action for the Protection of the Marine Environment from Land-based Activities\n✅ Using science and data for better decisions\n✅ Investing in coral reefs\, mangroves\, and seagrasses\n✅ Turning commitments into measurable results
