SUMMARY:Blue Carbon-New FDI Channel
DESCRIPTION:On the occasion of World Ocean Day\, Exodus Green invites policymakers\, investors\, sustainability leaders\, and environmental experts to explore a powerful new frontier in climate finance-Blue Carbon.\nAs the global community accelerates efforts under the Paris Agreement\, attention is shifting toward nature-based solutions that not only reduce emissions but also attract sustainable investment. Coastal ecosystems such as mangroves\, seagrasses\, and salt marshes\, collectively known as blue carbon ecosystems\, have emerged as high-impact carbon sinks with the potential to generate tradable carbon credits.\nThis webinar will examine how emission trading systems and carbon markets are transforming ocean conservation into a viable channel for Foreign Direct Investment (FDI). By linking environmental protection with financial mechanisms\, blue carbon offers developing countries—particularly those with rich coastal resources like Pakistan\, a unique opportunity to unlock green growth\, strengthen climate resilience\, and integrate into global carbon markets.\nParticipants will gain insights into:\nThe fundamentals of blue carbon and carbon credit systems\nThe role of international investors and climate finance institutions\nEmerging opportunities in Pakistan’s coastal and marine ecosystems\nPolicy\, governance\, and market mechanisms required to scale impact\nJoin us to discover how protecting our oceans can go hand-in-hand with attracting investment and driving sustainable economic transformation.

SUMMARY:Discovering cetaceans
DESCRIPTION:Free event dedicated to the knowledge and protection of Mediterranean whales and dolphins\, aimed at the students of the Istituto Comprensivo Statale 1 “Spini Vanoni” in Morbegno. The children are the young protagonists of this seminar organized by marine biologists from the voluntary association Rotta Mediterraneo\, hosted by the Civic Museum of Natural History of Morbegno.\nThe initiative was created with the aim of bringing young people who live far from the coast closer to the sea and marine biodiversity\, offering them an opportunity for discovery\, awareness\, and environmental education. During the meeting\, participants get a closer look at Mediterranean whales and dolphins: the characteristics of the different species\, their behavior\, the habitats they live in\, and the main threats that jeopardize their survival today.\nThrough images\, stories\, and the direct experiences of marine biologists\, the seminar provided a moment of scientific dissemination and discussion. The goal was to promote greater awareness of the importance of protecting marine ecosystems and the biodiversity of our Mare Nostrum.\nThe event is part of a series of meetings organized by Rotta Mediterraneo as part of the “European Maritime Day in My Country” initiative\, promoted by the European Commission.
