Palau World Oceans Day Peleliu Beach Clean Up

In celebration of World Oceans Day 2019, Palau government, NGOs, CSOs, and corporate partners organized a beach clean up event on the southern island of Peleliu. The event was sponsored in collaboration with the following partners: Our Ocean 2020 Secretariat, Peleliu State Government, Office of the President, Republic of Palau, Parley, Maristella Elementary School, Palau International Coral Reef Center, Environmental Quality Protection Board, Bureau of Public Works Solid Waste Management, Koror State Solid Waste Management, Swings Tours Palau, Friends of Palau National Marine Sanctuary, and Palau Conservation Society. Over 70 participants from throughout Palau joined the successful clean up event. In celebration of World Oceans Day 2019, Palau government, NGOs, CSOs, and corporate partners organized a beach clean up event on the southern island of Peleliu. There were over 25 youth, ages 9-18, that participated in the Peleliu World Oceans Day Beach Clean Up Event.
