Description: In celebration of World Oceans Day this June, the Ocean Heroes Bootcamp: New York City Meetup youth program will welcome 100 emerging leaders ages 11-18 from across the 5 boroughs in collaboration with The Explorers Club, United Nations Environment Program, and the international NGO Peace Boat. During the abridged two-day program, accepted youth will learn about plastic pollution and how to create their own impact campaigns to beat plastic pollution in their schools and communities. Attending youth will walk away with critical campaigning tools and a campaign concept they may submit through the online Ocean Heroes Bootcamp platform and the chance to receive grant funding in support of its realization.
Access: The program is for nominated or selected youth leaders and faculty from partner institutions.
