Sustainable Blue Economy: new paradigm of action with emphasis on the Northwest of Mexico

The blue economy concept developed by Gunter Pauli, is understood as "taking advantage of the natural ecosystem to increase the efficiency of production of goods and services, copying the natural models of the ecosystem, and always putting respect for the environment first".

The seas and oceans are a great potential for development. For a couple of years, the OECD has dictated certain measures for their use. Based on its data, it is estimated that currently 2.5% of GDP is already generated within the framework of the blue economy, as well as generating 31 million jobs.

⦁ Maximize ocean opportunities

⦁ Improve human well-being

⦁ Revalue ecosystem services

How are you going to face the problems that the tales of the oceans already present, such as global warming, acidification of waters, and loss of biodiversity?

How is it ensured that highly destructive activities such as commercial fishing are done within the limits of carrying capacity and do not lead to over-exploitation of species?

How is the current trend of the presence of plastic garbage going to change, are there considerations that by 2050 there will be more plastics than fish, in terms of biomass?

Maritime transport is another very important point since the sea currently allows more or less 90% of the movement of goods in the world.

This type of mobility also generates a lot of pollution, how is this going to be regular?
