Join us for this special hybrid event with a virtual platform to showcase inspiring actions for the oceans from youth leaders around the world! Peace Boat’s Ocean and Climate Youth Ambassadors from Small Island Developing States and “Youth for the SDGs” scholars will be presenting their work from various countries including Fiji, Seychelles, Trinidad and Tobago, India, Mauritius, Chile, Mexico and more. Through a storytelling training program in partnership with the creative changency, Pendulum, this year’s ocean youth leaders will share their experiences to highlight the 2021 UN World Oceans Day theme of The Ocean: Life and Livelihoods.
Through education and outreach, Action for the Oceans aims to strengthen creative skills and innovative solutions to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, with a focus on SDG 14 for Life Below Water.
Works will be shared via our digital platform and a reception will be held at the Selina Hotel in Chelsea, New York on the evening of June 11, Friday.
