invite the public to see the ocean as an integral part of city life.  We believe that New York City can be the world's great Smart Ocean City and this event is being hosted at New York's top tech incubation lab (a former machine terminal in the Brooklyn Navy Yard) to invite the huge urban tech industry to instrument NYC ocean spaces, monetize the data, and remediate and restore the ocean to a natural habitat in harmony with humans.
