Mermaids! World Oceans Day is one week away and we have a horseshoe crabulous fabulous day planned! It’s a World Oceans Day Horseshoe Crab and Red Knot Learn-athon!!! We were given a grant from Dr. Jane Goodall’s Roots & Shoots and are partnering with our best friends at ReTurn the Favor NJ!!! We will have fun facts leading up to the event so stay tuned!!! 11:30 Horseshoe Crab Wikipedia-athon! Are you a Wikipedia editor? Do you want to be one? Maybe even become a Wikipedian? Wikipedia is a free encyclopedia project that aims to help create a world in which every single human can freely share in the sum of all knowledge. Mermaids, I have been to several editor trainings and made new articles and edits myself! Let’s get together and contribute to the world’s knowledge of horseshoe crabs and red knots. It’s the 9th most popular website in the world and is read by billions of people every month so let’s tell the world all there is to know about horseshoe crabs. Although there is an article on horseshoe crabs, we can make edits to existing articles or new articles on subjects relating to horseshoe crabs. There is always more information!!!
