Edit-a-thon for improving and creating Wikipedia articles for women oceanographers June 05 2019 @ 12:00 AM - June 13 2019 @ 12:00 AM

The readership of limnology- and oceanography-related English Wikipedia articles is large, with over 100,000 collective article views per day for aquatic-related articles. However, many pages remain in poor condition, especially biography articles for women oceanographers. Due to common biases, only about 18% of Wikipedia biographies are of women and we would like to combat that. Join us for this edit-a-thon as we improve and create Wikipedia articles for women oceanographers.
