In Guna Yala (San Blas Islands, Panama), this 5 year old boy helped me install Rising Waters to show when his island will be flooded by sea level rise.

Susan Israel founded Climate Creatives to help people understand the impact of climate change through art and design experiences. Climate Creatives uses creative workshops to empower people to be more innovative, collaborative, and optimistic and have been used by businesses, NGOs, universities, communities, conferences, and schools. Susan's participatory art projects address issues like flooding, air quality, biodiversity, and renewable energy. "Rising Waters" shows future flood levels, builds a global community of climate activists, and helps people prepare for flooding due to sea level rise, storm surge, and rainwater. Climate Creatives is looking for volunteers across the globe to start Rising Waters Chapters. You will find her on the Peace Boat rear deck installing Rising Waters on June 8th, but usually she is in Boston, Massachusetts.
