The Society for Underwater Technology is an international Learned Society for marine science, technology, engineering and policy. Established in 1966 in London, we have 10 branches and members in over 40 countries supporting knowledge exchange, scholarships, links between industry, academia and government and training in a broad range of underwater technology subjects. Areas of interest include offshore energy, renewables, marine autonomous systems, diving, deep sea mining, defence and aquaculture.

On World Oceans Day 2020 June 8th, the Society for Underwater Technology will present a special edition of our weekly Underwater Technology Podcast featuring CEO Steve Hall interviewing UNESCO Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission Chair Ariel Troisi, and UNESCO IOC Venice Office Ocean Literacy Specialist Francesca Santoro. They'll be talking about ocean literacy, the forthcoming Ocean Decade, sustained ocean observations, role of industry and much more.
