In the week of June 5 to 9, the third edition of Basque Environment and Ocean Week (BEOW 2024) will take place. A week to bring scientific and technological advances on the environment and oceans closer to citizens, coinciding with June 5, World Environment Day, and June 8, World Oceans Day.
Previously, on March 22, April and May, World Water Day, International Mother Earth Day and World Biodiversity Day will be celebrated respectively. These three days will serve as a prelude to this edition’s BEOW.
Created by the Nakusarbe Association, BEOW’s main mission is to disseminate science and environmental awareness to try to influence our daily habits so that, at an individual and collective level, we reconsider our responsibility in the conservation of Planet Earth.
“We are already recognized as the first generation that can save the planet.”
