Sea Stories: Fisheries & Local Knowledge

Tony Charles, Director of the School of the Environment at Saint Mary’s University in Halifax Canada as well as Director of the Community Conservation Research Network joins Ginny Boudreau, Executive Director of Guysborough County Inshore Fishermen’s Association (GCIFA) who comes from a long lineage of fishers in the region to host a conversation about local knowledge and fisheries in Nova Scotia.

Ginny’s powerful connection to the ocean—from cultural, economic, community, sustenance, and recreational standpoint—also highlights the imperative of protecting our ocean resources. 💙🐟🌊
