We – Orange Ocean – are a German NGO (founded 2019) planning a TV, digital and influencer marketing campaign in the GSA region (Germany, Switzerland, Austria) celebrating the WOD 2024. All major media companies (eg ProSiebenSat.1 Media and RTL Group) are going to support pro bono our initiative two weeks ahead of the WOD 2024.
The claim of the campaign will be #heuteplastikfrei (#todayplasticfree). We want consumers to do their groceries on Saturday, June 8th avoiding single use plastic packaging honoring the UN WOD 2024.
Consumers will be motivated to take a picture of their purchase and share it under the above mentioned hashtag (#heuteplastikfrei) on their social media accounts. Our landing page (www.orangeocean.org) will explain how to participate in the movement in three easy steps. Afterwards we will analyze the impact of the campaign (number of posts).
The objective of the campaign is to celebrate WOD 2024 in taking action and sending out a message to the various stake holders such as retail, industry and politics. We want the campaign to scale and have a collective impact.
