Voices of the Ocean is a local initiative for science outreach, environmental education, and community engagement designed to celebrate World Oceans Day in San Carlos and Guaymas, Sonora, Mexico, on June 6 and 7, 2026. The project comprises six complementary experiences: exploration of the rocky intertidal zone, an introductory snorkeling workshop, a public panel interview with local experts, a public forum on the legal defense of whales and marine ecosystems, a private networking dinner with sponsors, and a follow-up educational maritime trip around San Carlos seascapes.
